To achieve success, we might learn from the history, experience, failures and triumphs of those who have blazed the trail before us.

The first thing we must all decide is, “WHAT DO WE FEEL CALLED TO SUCCEED AT”? You and I may never have had the desire to accomplish what any of the above people did but we are all born with a dream and that is where we should start. Going back in your life, what have you enjoyed doing most and can this dream or desire be turned into a lifestyle that could support you?

Once a person decides what it is he or she would like to succeed at, the formula is pretty much the same for everyone.

• Desire: This can not be taught. It comes from within and without desire a person will never leave the starting block. This is also referred to as the “WHY”. A person must have a strong “WHY” or they will drop out of the race very quickly.
• Belief: Next to desire is belief. Taking small steps and setting small reachable goals will build confidence and help anyone “BELIEVE” that they can achieve success. Once belief becomes so strong that it turns into “I KNOW”, it is just a matter of time before success is realized.
• Determination and Persistence: Some people have been fortunate and found success quickly by being in the right place at the right time or some other lucky break. For the majority of people it will be a journey that will require strong determination and the tenacity to persist!

I love the song by Miley Cyrus, “The Climb”. This song explains the challenge we all face when it comes to reaching our goals. It is really not about what is on the other side that matters at the present, it is all about the climb and what is required now to get to the other side.

Mark Seyforth, who helped launch Herbalife back in 1980, is the Master Mind of One24 which offers the I.R.P.. He also built a 100 million dollar company while he was still in his 20’s. The Internet is loaded with people and articles explaining “how to achieve success” but if it was as easy as most people make it sound, everyone would be millionaires by now. The truth of the matter is, it takes a lot of work and persistence to achieve success on the Internet. The majority of people do not realize this one fact when they explore the idea of succeeding via the Internet. An Internet is like any other business in that it requires running your online business just you would if you had a brick and mortar business.

Here are 7 simple steps that anyone can follow to achieve success via the Internet:

1- Education before experimentation! What I mean by this is, learn as much as you can about successful leaders and how they operate and about different opportunities before you get involved. You will find that the majority of successful online marketers have spent thousands of dollars and years of trial and error before they succeeded. Because of their advice, you don’t have to follow the same path. You can learn from them and achieve success much quicker!

Before I go further into this topic, I would like to ask you a few questions. If you answer “NO” to any of these questions, I would suggest you stop reading and go read another post on this blog because this topic will not interest you.

3. Are there other parts of the world you would enjoy seeing?
4. Have you ever wanted to take an extra vacation (above what your company policy allows) but didn’t think your boss would allow it?
5. If you had the time and money, would you like to take more vacations?
6. Do you feel like you are still young enough and healthy enough to take vacations?
7. Would you have to have more time freedom to take more than four one-week vacations per year?

I do not have statistics that show how many Americans would answer “YES” to all of the questions but my guess is it would be pretty high. Before I get to the details of the answer to the above questions, I would like to tell you about a vacation that my family and I took in 2009 to Destin Florida. My daughter, who is a physical therapy student at the University of South Alabama, had to do what is called a “clinical rotation” last year. This means that she would choose a location that was available and spend 10 days at their clinic and do physical therapy work under the doctor’s supervision. After the 10 days, the doctor would send an evaluation  to the school on Erin’s performance.

This required that Erin have a place to stay for 10 days, and since she did not have family or a friend in the area to stay with, we decided to rent a condo and make a family vacation out of this. We found a two bedroom condo right across the street from the beach in Destin and it cost a little over $1,700.00. If I had known then what I know now, I could have saved a tremendous amount of money on this vacation.

Over the last 27 years, our family has taken many vacations and we have stayed in some very nice resorts. I did not achieve success by taking more vacations because this opportunity was not available at the time.
