A great MLM success story can be written by anyone who discovers a few simple marketing techniques that the professionals know about. This story is about the power of “attraction marketing” and how it worked to perfection in the case I am going to mention.

Before I tell you the story I want to tell you a little about my history. I began in Network Marketing in 1982 with Amway and because my parents and I owned a retail business in a small town, I knew almost everyone. I was able to hold meetings in my friends homes and I had a fast start out of the gate. Things were going great and I just knew I was going to retire early as a millionaire. It didn’t take long for me to realize that it was much harder than it first appeared. My sphere of influence ran out very quickly.

Over the years I tried several other opportunities and they all ended in failure because of the same reasons every time. You have heard the saying “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”. Trying again is the right thing to do but the definition of insanity is “to do the same thing the same way over and over again expecting different results”.

A great MLM success story is even better when it can be written after years of trying and failing. I think it is encouraging to everyone who is working hard and knows that persistence will one day pay off. I would encourage everyone who is reading this story to never, never give up.

Now back to a great MLM success story. Anyone who has been involved in Network Marketing via the Internet has heard the term- attraction marketing. In years past, and still today, people in network marketing were taught to strike up a conversation with anyone within three feet of them. This was referred to as the “three foot rule”. Well naturally friends and family were the first people within that distance so they felt the brunt of the blow. Another method was cold calling people, via the telephone, that were complete strangers. The rejection rate in this strategy is enough to make anyone give up and with new laws and “no-call-list” this method is old-school as well.

Today it is all by “attraction marketing” and this is a process that usually starts with a capture page or some form of advertising that allows the marketer to add a lead into an autoresponder. This is an email service that is used to send emails to customers on scheduled days and also broadcast emails at any time. The whole purpose of attraction marketing is to build trust with your customer which makes it much easier to sell to them over a period of time.

My son did a masterful job of creating a capture page that included a video of himself and his contact information. After a person entered their name, phone number, and email address in his resource box they were taken to the next page which is his sales page.

This past week one of his first leads came to his autoresponder from a lady who had clicked on it. Later that day he gave the lady a call and when she answered, he said “hello” and called her by name. That’s no big deal but when she said “hello Steven” that was a big deal! She was so impressed with his capture page, sales page, and content that she programmed his name and phone number in her phone. That is ATTRACTION MARKETING at it’s best! This is referred to as a targeted, responsive lead.

Any person involved in MLM who understands how to create a success sales funnel that will attract customers like this will have a great MLM success story in a very short amount of time. After the sales funnel is put on autopilot it is just a matter of advertising and getting people to the site.
